Stanthorpe Crafters & Hobbyists Assoc. Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation and our aim is to provide support for the local Community. We offer a free stall site at each Market to other local Community groups so they may inform visitors of their aims and contributions to society. They usually have a raffle, drawn on the day, to help raise much needed funds for their particular group. This Community group is always the leading article in our Newsletter which is handed out at each Market. Each year we support the local agricultural show by providing some sponsorship to the Cooking, Handcrafts, Pottery, Woodwork and Stitchcraft sections. We hope this will encourage people with their arts and crafts and keep a great tradition of the local show alive.

Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery

Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery is an independent public art gallery situated in Weeroona park Stanthorpe.

It hosts a variety of exhibitions and public programs, from workshops, in Conversation talks and Music in the Gallery. Music in the gallery attracts international and local musicians who love to play in the beautiful gallery setting with amazing acoustics.

Stanthorpe Apple & Grape Harvest Festival

‘CRUSHING IT’ SINCE 1966!

The festival has been entertaining with it’s harvest celebrations for an incredible 53 years. The iconic grape crush events are a must-see… a lot of messy fun!

Voted one of Queensland’s top 10 favourite Festivals during the Queensland Q150 Celebrations, the Festival is a “must do” on the Queensland events calendar.

The Stanthorpe Apple & Grape Harvest Festival on every two years and celebrates the harvest of all produce from the Granite Belt Region!

Held over 10 days it attracts tens of thousands of visitors. Visitors can enjoy discovering local food and wine, see the grand parade, cheer on the Celebrity Grape Crushing Championship, compete in the golf, or test their endurance in the Mt Marlay Marathon or the Storm King Dam Bike Ride.

If you want something more laid back, there is Busking Championships, relaxing at the Food, Wine & Cultural Fiesta in the park, Apple Day, an Italian Long Lunch, markets and more.

Stanthorpe Agricultural Show Society

The Stanthorpe Agricultural Society (the Society) is a not for profit organisation established by an Act of the Qld Parliament in 1875 to raise the standards of agriculture in Qld, more specifically in the Granite Belt part of SE Qld.

Now in the 21st Century, the Stanthorpe Agricultural Society continues to support and promote Australian agricultural, horticultural and pastoral excellence and innovation through events, competition and education.

The Stanthorpe Agricultural Society is primarily responsible for organising and staging Stanthorpe’s largest show event – the annual Stanthorpe Show. This Show brings together the Granite Belt’s best for a weekend of agricultural, horticultural and pastoral competitions, displays and demonstrations, exhibitions, entertainment, commercial exhibits, carnival rides and a variety of food stalls.

In addition to the show, the Stanthorpe Agricultural Society encourages ventures that can make use of the facilities on the showground site to their best advantage throughout the year. These ventures include using the grounds for markets, displays, expos, rallys, music festivals, private functions and camping accommodation.

Granite Belt Art & Craft Trail Open Studio Event Inc

GBART, as we have fondly named it, is a dedication to all things creative and showcases the ever-growing talent of the artisans who call the Granite Belt home.

Held over three huge days, follow the trail map to discover a variety of local artisans, as they exhibit at studios and galleries as well as taking up residence in community spaces.

GBART is an open studio ‘meet the maker’ event.

The Granite Belt Art and Craft Trail program encourages visitors to gallery hop their way around the Granite Belt.
