Join Us for the Granite Belt’s Bush Christmas celebration!
The Stanthorpe and Granite Belt Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce our annual Christmas Market on Thursday, 19th December, from 1 pm to 9 pm! The big change this year is spreading some of the activities across the whole Granite Belt region so that ALL businesses can join the fun and benefit!!
We invite you to join in the festivities and celebrate the season with us. Here’s what’s happening:
Market stall holders welcome!! – are you interested in holding a street stall to sell your products? The Rotary Christmas Ham wheel and the Lions sausage sizzle are already locked in! See below for the link to nominate your stall opportunity.
Business Decorating Competition – Nominate your business to spread holiday cheer! Whether you’re a business in any of the many townships or a business on a farm we would love to see how you can dress up your place in the Christmas spirit – we are thinking farm gate decorations, tractors dressed in tinsel as well as the decorative shop fronts from Wallangarra to Dalveen!! Scavenger Hunt – The team are coming up with some new ideas to make this even more fun for all ages! Stay tuned for more information and watch the socials for how to enter.
Christmas Giving Tree – Give back this Christmas by contributing to the giving tree. Drop your non-perishable items and have a happy snap while you are giving. Set up at Injule Property Management, 43 Maryland St (old CavInsure location).
Why Leave Town Promotion – Win Big! – Support local businesses and you could win! After you make a purchase, put your name and phone number on the docket and place it in the entry boxes that will be set up in Wallangarra, Ballandean, Glen Aplin, Amiens, Vincenzo’s, The Summit, Dalveen and the IGA, Woolworths, Country Lane Lifestyle, Mitre 10 and the Reject Shop in Stanthorpe. Purchases need to be made from 18 November onwards to be eligible!!
We’ll be holding three $100 prize draws on Fridays, 29th November, 6th December, and 13th December, leading up to the event. Plus, there’s a mystery prize values at $500 at the market on 19th December. (No need to be present to win!).
Entertainment and Volunteer Opportunities
Enjoy performances from the Auslan Choir and Granite Belt Choir alongside appearances from wandering Grinches, Santa, and his elf. We are also looking for additional entertainers or groups offering creative experiences (like Christmas decoration making)! If you’d like to volunteer, please express your interest and use the link below.
