The Chamber is proud to be working on a range of current projects designed to strengthen our local business community and support sustainable growth across the Granite Belt. From advocacy and events to partnerships and economic initiatives, these projects highlight the work underway on behalf of our members.

BIG THERMOMETER
PROJECT

  • The chamber reconnected with dedicated volunteer Mick Spiller to continue the promotion and production of plaques on the path to the Big Thermometer.
  • Further discussions are happening about the possible additional landscaping around the Big Thermometer.

INVESTMENT
PORTFOLIO

  • Activation Plan developed and first stage underway.
  • Engaging with SDRC and state government to promote the use of the Investment Portfolio.

Why Leave Town gift cards

  • Expanding the program to increase the use of the gift cards in the Stanthorpe & Granite Belt Region

SMALL BUSINESS MONTH

  • Working in partnership with Workforce Australia and DTET to develp a program for a Jobs Expo and business growth forum
  • Wed 6 May | 3.00pm – 7.00pm | Stanthorpe Civic Centre

FUNDRAISING PROGRAM

  • Implementing the Sponsorship Prospectus initiative
  • Establishing and implementing a framework for fundraising for the Chamber

SKILLS GAP STUDY

The Chamber is leading a Regional Skills Gap Study to identify workforce challenges and future skills needs across the Granite Belt.

This project will help:

  • Identify critical workforce and skills shortages
  • Inform future training and workforce solutions
  • Strengthen links between industry, education and community
  • Support businesses to access funding and resources to address skills gaps
